Description

Join a newly created 5–6 person data competence hub in Poland, responsible for full technical ownership of a project initially delivered by a team in Spain. You will co-create a critical multi-cloud banking application for revenues management and stock reconciliation, working in an environment spanning AWS and GCP. The role supports growth in Data, data integration, and database solutions with challenges in data and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based processes and applications for large-scale data processing
• Build and evolve data pipelines for ETL/ELT using Python
• Optimize Python processing and scalable code for performance
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries (PostgreSQL) for large tables
• Diagnose production data processing problems, identify their sources, and maintain working solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as Python Developer/Data Engineer/Data Developer/Data Scientist/Analytics Engineer or similar
• Very good Python with practical experience developing and enhancing Python-based applications and processes
• Commercial experience with Pandas and NumPy for data processing, transformation, and analysis
• Experience handling very large datasets (billions of records, terabytes)
• Ability to write efficient and scalable Python code and optimize data processing
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data processing pipelines using Python
• Good SQL knowledge with practical PostgreSQL experience
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries and analyze query performance issues
• Basic or good knowledge of partitioning and working with large tables
• Ability to analyze data processing problems, find root causes, and diagnose issues across different data systems/sources
• Ability to independently diagnose problems and maintain production solutions
• English fluency at B2/C1 level
