Description

We are seeking a visionary Advanced SW/FW Platform Engineer (Level 4) to define the technical direction and system architecture of intelligent, edge-based smart cameras. You will act as the principal architect for platform bring-up, system services, and NPU acceleration, and lead by example in using agentic AI tools to automate implementation. The work emphasizes hardware/software co-design and solving tough system-level challenges for on-board NPU hardware-accelerated image processing and vision algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Set architectural vision for Linux-based smart camera platforms; design robust, secure platform management services in modern C++.
• System Bring-up Strategy: Lead complex platform bring-up; define custom Yocto layers and BSP architectures to tie hardware to software.
• Advanced NPU Orchestration: Architect infrastructure integrating on-board NPUs for real-time, hardware-accelerated image and video processing.
• Process Innovation: Champion agentic AI coding methodologies to scale team output and code quality.
• Cross-Functional Debugging: Act as ultimate technical escalation point for deep hardware/software boundary anomalies using schematics, logic analyzers, debug probes, and oscilloscopes.

Requirements

• Deep, low-level expertise in the Linux kernel, bootloaders, system-level management
• Experience with custom systemd service orchestration and resource optimization
• Extensive experience designing high-performance, concurrent, modular systems in modern C++
• Track record solving multi-layer system and hardware integration challenges under tight performance constraints
• Self-driven builder with a creator mindset who can mentor senior team members
