Position: Senior Gen AI Engineer at Impact AI Lab (F/M)

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art (SOTA) Gen AI and agentic systems.
• Rapidly prototype AI solutions tailored for the public administration sector, working within strict regulatory and market constraints.
• Deploy and run local models on constrained computational resources and optimize systems across multiple dimensions.
• Manage the end-to-end MLOps lifecycle for deployed Gen AI systems.
• Apply a scientific mindset to solve complex engineering problems using the latest technological advancements.

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a highly related field.
• At least 3 years of proven commercial experience as an AI/ML Engineer, with a strong focus on Generative AI and LLM orchestration or serving tools.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Deep, fundamental understanding of model architectures and how they work under the hood.
• Practical knowledge of industrial technologies used to build agentic workflows and systems.
• Experience across the full MLOps lifecycle for Gen AI models, from deployment through monitoring and optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience with VLLMs, classic Deep Learning, and standard Machine Learning frameworks.
• Published research papers in Generative AI.
• Proven experience building backend or frontend for agentic solutions.
