Job Summary

The Account Business Partner is the strategic partner for client accounts, with commercial and administrative ownership of the portfolio. The role turns service delivery into an integrated client partnership by providing trusted advisory support, contributing technical expertise to pre-sales, identifying upsell opportunities, and driving account growth.

You will own relationship health, ensure end-to-end value delivery, and protect technical teams from unnecessary disruption. Success is measured through client retention, seamless operations, and account expansion.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage 2–3 key accounts and develop a deep understanding of each client’s business goals and pain points.
  • Lead drafting of Statements of Work (SOW), contract negotiations, and financial forecasting and billing oversight.
  • Act as the first point of contact for high-level issues and mobilize internal resources to deliver rapid solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to clients’ businesses and expand service offerings.
  • Coordinate with Delivery Directors and PMs to align business commitments with technical execution.
  • Own the pre-sales process supporting upsell activities with new business units.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, account management, or client-facing roles in IT or the technology sector.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of IT products, services, and software development lifecycles.
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and evolving client needs in the technology sector.
  • Experience with project management and documentation ecosystems, specifically Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret account data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Familiarity with IT contract terms, legal frameworks, and pricing models.
  • Fluent English and the ability to lead high-stakes negotiations and present to C-level stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before escalation.
  • Strategic empathy to balance client business pressures with engineering-team constraints.
  • Resilience under pressure during high-stakes negotiations and complex challenges.
