Hybrid: candidates in the Warsaw commuting area work from the office once per week. Candidates based outside Warsaw make occasional office visits.

Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Master Data SME to take functional ownership of key master data processes, governance standards, and ways of working within a large international organisation.

The role focuses on Store/Site, Material/Product, Business Partner, and Pricing Master Data. It combines SAP functional expertise with data governance, process improvement, documentation, training, and enablement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional expert for SAP S/4HANA Master Data Management and a key link between the Master Data team, project teams, and IT Support.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for SAP S/4HANA master data processes, structures, and governance.
• Support Store/Site, Material/Product, Business Partner, and Pricing Master Data domains.
• Work closely with project design teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
• Support the transition of newly delivered SAP capabilities into sustainable operational processes.
• Define and maintain master data standards, business rules, and governance frameworks.
• Improve master data processes, controls, and data quality.
• Investigate recurring data issues and support long-term remediation.
• Work with business stakeholders, Process Owners, and Digital & Technology teams on process changes and enhancements.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process maps, knowledge articles, and training materials.
• Deliver training, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing sessions for business users and Master Data teams.
• Assess operational readiness and support adoption of new SAP capabilities and ways of working.
• Identify opportunities for process standardisation, simplification, and automation.
• Support audit, compliance, and control requirements related to master data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or ERP-related master data processes.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Master Data.
• Experience in one or more of the following domains: Store/Site/Plant Master Data; Material/Product/Article Master Data; Business Partner/Customer/Vendor Master Data; Pricing Master Data.
• Good understanding of SAP integrations and data validation processes.
• Experience defining master data standards, controls, and business rules.
• Strong understanding of data quality and governance principles.
• Experience creating SOPs, work instructions, process documentation, and training materials.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across project, IT, and other teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Article Master, Site Master, or retail pricing.
• Previous involvement in SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration programmes.
