Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering: Build and operate a cloud-native streaming data platform on Azure using Kafka, Kubernetes, and GitOps.
• Pipeline Engineering: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD to deliver reliable, automated deployments across multiple environments.
• Infrastructure as Code Management: Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform. Ensure infrastructure is version-controlled, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Security and Compliance Implementation: Design and enforce secure cloud architectures using managed identities, least-privilege access principles, and compliant integration patterns.
• Platform Operations and Optimization: Operate and optimize Azure environments for performance, cost efficiency, and high availability. Monitor environments using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics workspaces, and AppInsights.
• Network Solutions and Connectivity: Design and support Azure networking infrastructure, including DNS management, Private Endpoints, Private Link configurations, and VPN connectivity solutions.
• Cross-Team Collaboration and Enablement: Partner with development teams, customers, and vendors to facilitate application integrations, coordinate system changes, and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Consulting and Strategy: Drive security initiatives, compliance programs, and continuous improvement efforts while serving as a technical consultant on cloud infrastructure and platform topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Very good English and Polish language skills; German is a plus.
• Experience designing and operating scalable, reliable cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong background in Azure infrastructure, networking, and security for enterprise platform environments.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation.
• Terraform experience is essential; Terragrunt is a plus.
• Experience with containerization technologies, cloud-native deployment patterns, and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Kafka experience is required; familiarity with Apache Flink and Java is a plus.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model with at least one office visit per month.
