Cloud Security Engineer (DevSecOps)

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer / DevSecOps to help protect organizational cloud assets through robust automated security services. The role focuses on managing cloud security across product cloud environments, implementing proactive vulnerability and threat detection systems, and supporting regulatory compliance across the cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess the security posture of cloud infrastructure and deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Deploy and maintain security capabilities, including CNAPP, vulnerability detection, WAF, and firewalls.
  • Develop tools for automated self-verification of security functions and support automated inventory and security alerting.
  • Support compliance assessments for NIST 800-53, OWASP, GDPR, ISO, and SOC 2.
  • Collaborate on detection rules and assist with incident response, occasionally serving as an Incident Coordinator.
  • Stay current with security technology evolution and recommend improvements to the overall security posture.

Basic Requirements

  • 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or security engineering within virtualized systems.
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Good understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance concepts and framework adherence, such as NIST, ISO, and FedRAMP.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Ability to develop code and automation scripts in Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, Bash, or Azure CLI.
  • Knowledge of containerized software deployments using Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of Git version control practices.
  • Basic Linux system administration skills and familiarity with the Elastic stack.
  • Understanding of network protocols, topologies, and firewall/WAF configuration and use.
  • Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and security practices quickly.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with cloud and container security tools such as Wiz or Prisma Cloud.
  • Experience with Kyverno policy management.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
