Principal Consultant — IT & Cybersecurity

About the role

We are launching the first Security Department in Poland to support our clients and are looking for an experienced principal to build, lead, and scale this domain. As a Security Principal, you will act as the senior specialist responsible for delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, team development, and commercial growth within the IT & Cybersecurity area.

This role combines high autonomy, strong professional ownership, and direct impact on shaping the Polish organization. You will collaborate closely with HQ while maintaining full responsibility for the Security Department in Poland.

Responsibilities

Delivery & Leadership

  • End-to-end accountability for delivery quality and customer satisfaction in the Security domain.
  • Team-level budget ownership and responsibility for profitability (team share model).
  • Recruitment, development, and mentoring of consultants.
  • Active participation in sales: presales, shaping offers, customer meetings, and trusted advisor engagements.
  • Collaboration with HQ (sales, legal, finance, marketing) while retaining operational responsibility.
  • Implementation and enforcement of security standards and services.
  • Building and scaling the Security Practice in Poland, including service portfolio development.

Requirements

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in IT/Security roles.
  • 4+ years in senior leadership positions (CISO, Deputy CISO, Head of Security, Security Practice Lead).
  • Proven consulting experience with enterprise clients.
  • Strong advisory capability and comfort working with executives.

Technical skills

  • Deep knowledge of ISMS, ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, CRA, and the AI Act.
  • Experience with OT/ICS security or AI governance is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to design and deliver complex security programs end-to-end.

Competencies

  • Autonomous and self-driven, with strong analytical skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to mentor and develop specialists in a high-autonomy model.
  • Resilience and adaptability in dynamic consulting environments.
  • Polish — fluent; English — fluent.

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCISO, CEH, Lead Auditor ISO 27001/22301/42001.
  • Experience in building or scaling consulting practices.
  • Background in OT/ICS security, AI governance, or cyber resilience programs.
