Infrastructure Architect

Job description

As an Infrastructure Architect, you will deliver cloud, on-premises, and hybrid architectural solutions for customers. You will act as a customer-facing technical advisor and bring customer insights into engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create prototypes and Proofs of Concept aligned with group architecture and customer requirements.
• Implement new architectural approaches in collaboration with the team and appropriate internal resources.
• Design strategies, migrate systems, and develop IT architecture for on-premises and public-cloud environments.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and propose the best solutions.
• Create conceptual and design documentation, including High-Level Design and Low-Level Design.
• Oversee implementation projects and remove technical blockers through strategic technical input, ideas, and insights.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Solid knowledge of IT architecture and infrastructure design.
• Understanding of systems integration concepts.
• Ability to take a personalised, solution-based approach to customer needs.
• Persistent, analytical, customer-centric, and results-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in at least 3 of the following areas: public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP); Windows or Linux operating systems; network solutions, preferably SD-WAN and Zero Trust concepts; virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox); Virtual Desktop Infrastructure; Microsoft Entra ID; Microsoft 365.
• Ability to provide advisory and budget-conscious management of client infrastructure and licensing investments, considering CAPEX/OPEX allocation.
• English fluency at a minimum B2 level.
