AI Privacy Engineer / Data Protection Coordinator

Main Responsibilities

• Own the AI data protection gate for AI use cases developed within Central AI.
• Prepare decision-ready evidence and present go/no-go recommendations.
• Translate data protection requirements into actionable technical guidance.
• Ensure that data protection is embedded into system design and implementation.
• Establish and maintain structured and up-to-date documentation for efficient reviews.
• Carry out privacy risk assessments for AI use cases.
• Drive the implementation of pragmatic mitigation measures with engineering teams.
• Act as a bridge between engineering and data protection functions.
• Enable scalable governance with clear, auditable evidence of compliance.
• Ensure handling of data subject rights requests involving AI systems.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with additional legal qualification in an EU jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of experience in an international corporation.
• Strong working knowledge of the GDPR.
• Solid technical grounding in modern AI systems (LLMs, vector stores, etc.).
• Experience with DPIAs and data subject rights at scale.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to challenge solution design.
• Pragmatic, outcome-driven, and comfortable operating under ambiguity.
• Fluent in English; additional European language is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience in federated, multi-country environments.
• Hands-on exposure to LLM/agent platforms.
• Familiarity with data protection topics related to Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Certifications (e.g., IAPP, ISACA, PECB).
• Experience with AI governance or model risk frameworks.
