SAP FICO Support Specialist

Overview of the Role

As an SAP FICO Support Specialist, you will ensure the seamless operation and optimization of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) environments. You will resolve system issues, support critical business processes, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust IT production support. Your work will support business continuity and enhance global financial systems.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end support for SAP FICO modules, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests in a production support environment.
  • Assist business users in addressing and resolving functional issues independently, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or complex problems, recommend effective solutions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and management to communicate issue status, resolution plans, and system enhancements clearly and effectively.
  • Support core SAP FICO functions, including General Ledger, and at least three of the following: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, and Project System.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize SAP FICO processes, improve service delivery, and align with industry best practices.

Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in IT production support projects.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO modules.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting S/4HANA environments.
  • At least 3 years of SAP experience specifically supporting General Ledger, plus significant experience in at least three additional SAP finance-related modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, or Project System.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving SAP-related issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

Other Requirements

  • SAP Certification in FICO or S/4HANA modules is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a multinational or large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
