Python Developer (routing algorithms, e-commerce)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python and routing algorithms. In this role, you will support the design and scaling of high-throughput services that power first-mile and last-mile delivery logistics.

Our expectations

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience in backend software development using Python and SQL
• Experience in or very good knowledge of the logistics domain, network analysis, and routing, including graph theory, road network modeling, and Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP)
• Experience with programmatically utilized geospatial data, such as H3, spatial indexing, clustering algorithms, and PostGIS
• Knowledge of cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform, and modern infrastructure tools: Kubernetes, Terraform, and Airflow
• Commitment to engineering best practices: Clean Code, TDD, CI/CD, and rigorous code review
• Ability to design and scale microservices-based architecture
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a university degree in computer science or a related technical field
• Good command of English and Polish
• Readiness to participate in workshops at the client's office in Warsaw once per month

Key tasks

• Support the design and scaling of high-throughput services powering first-mile and last-mile delivery logistics operations
• Co-develop the next-generation Delivery Optimization Engine (DOE) using network analysis and spatial optimization
• Develop and implement routing algorithms
• Directly impact and improve the efficiency of logistics processes
