Mendix Team Leader

We are looking for a hands-on Mendix Team Leader to join our growing development team. In this role, your primary mission will be to partner with and alleviate our current Lead Engineer from daily operational, delivery, and team management responsibilities. You will act as the driving force for a dedicated team of Mendix developers, ensuring engineering excellence, smooth project execution, and continuous professional growth for your team members, while remaining actively involved in architecture and low-code development.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and support a team of Mendix developers, fostering autonomy, driving accountability, and overseeing their career progression.
• Operational Relief: Take ownership of sprint planning, code reviews, workload distribution, and daily standups to directly offload the current Lead.
• Mendix Engineering: Participate in architecture design, implement complex low-code solutions, and ensure compliance with best practices and governance standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, collaborating closely with Product Owners and Agile delivery teams.

Our Requirements

• Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing, mentoring, or leading technical teams, ideally in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Mendix Expertise: Solid commercial experience in low-code development using the Mendix platform. Rapid, Advanced, or Expert Certification is a strong plus.
• Technical Background: Deep understanding of modern software engineering principles, integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs), and data modeling (SQL).
• Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, strong problem-solving capabilities, and excellent English communication skills to align distributed technical teams.
