Senior Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to design and support scalable cloud and Kubernetes environments. The role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, automation and collaboration with development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Own cloud engineering projects from design through implementation.
• Design and develop Kubernetes platforms, including managed services.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar tools.
• Build self-service capabilities for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on cloud solutions and architecture.
• Support applications running in cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Implement observability solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Apply cloud-native security practices.
• Explore LLMs and autonomous AI agents to improve engineering workflows.
• Promote DevOps and Platform Engineering practices.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical decisions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional out-of-hours maintenance.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with large-scale, highly available cloud environments.
• Advanced practical knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployment, management and security.
• Experience with managed Kubernetes services.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and Platform Engineering.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with cloud-native security practices.
• Programming skills for infrastructure automation, preferably Python or Go.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Solid understanding of networking and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud architecture, Kubernetes and serverless solutions.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems effectively.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive approach to improving engineering practices.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and contribute to technical discussions.

Nice to have

• Open-source contributions.
• Experience with on-premises Kubernetes.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Kubernetes certifications: CKA, CKAD or CKS.
• Experience with Ansible or similar tools.
• Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure.
