VMware, Linux/Windows Administrator

We are currently looking for talented and experienced VMware, Linux/Windows Administrator to join a long-term project.

Desired Competencies

Must-Have

Technical Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of networking, computer hardware, and critical infrastructure.
• VMware administration of physical and virtual servers, including installation, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate hardware maintenance with OEM vendors and onsite Smart Hands teams.
• Manage virtualization platforms: VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux, and Network.
• Overall management of datacenter management.
• Monitor server health and support Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) configurations.
• Configure VMware HA (High Availability) / DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler), support Disaster Recovery solutions, and perform VM backup and restoration.
• Patch ESXi hosts and upgrade vCenter and VMware components.
• Windows administration.
• Linux: Red Hat Satellite, Ansible.
• Storage and file system management: LVM administration, file system expansion, and disk management.
• Ensure platform adherence to compliance, policy, risk, and operational governance standards.
• Administer, automate, and optimize enterprise operations through automation, migration, governance, and cost optimization.
• Design automation workflows, API integrations, and rule-based orchestration for operational efficiency.
• Implement data, license, and risk workflows using governance and compliance platforms.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to streamline processes and eliminate manual effort.
• Own reporting automation, dashboards, inventory updates, and audit readiness.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assist in audits.
• Proficient in English and the native language (German / Polish / French, etc.).
