Senior Test Manager

Remote work or hybrid work available in Warsaw

Salary: 150–160 PLN net/hour (B2B)

Responsibilities

• Develop and document a detailed testing strategy for the complex migration from mainframe assembler applications to Java/SQL on Linux.
• Identify and integrate testing methodologies, including unit testing, functional testing, and comparison testing, into the testing framework.
• Define and integrate appropriate testing tools, such as X-Ray.
• Coordinate and oversee testing activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Support test execution across multiple phases, including planning, environment setup, execution, and reporting.
• Act as the primary liaison between architects, developers, project management teams, and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration to align testing objectives and deliverables.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a small test team, fostering excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Assess resource needs and support hiring and training as the project scales.
• Monitor and report testing progress, defects, and overall quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Produce comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to senior project management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Test Manager in complex projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, particularly unit testing and functional testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
