Software Engineer Backend (100% remote)

Join the Servicing International team to build the foundational platform for launching products in new international markets. This role focuses on purchase protection, including disputes and refunds, to build trust and satisfaction for customers. Partner closely with European engineering counterparts and the global Servicing Engineering organization to create cohesive, scalable solutions.

What you’ll do

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team; lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems and support them throughout delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle, including ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify project, process, technology, and business issues; advocate for and lead their resolution.
• Support operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and contributing to on-call and “keep the lights on” efforts.
• Foster quality and ownership by setting or improving code-review and design standards, and advocating for them through writing and tech talks.
• Occasionally contribute to full-stack development, including front-end components, to deliver end-to-end features.
• Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

What we look for

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Enthusiasm for occasionally working on front-end code; prior front-end experience is not required.
• Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, extensible designs; ability to write high-quality, understandable code.
• Proficiency making significant changes safely in a large codebase, supported by effective tools and practices.
• Ownership of professional growth and proactive pursuit of feedback from teammates, managers, and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.

What would be a bonus

• Exposure to building web apps with declarative UI frameworks, such as React or Vue, and understanding of their core principles.

Base Pay Grade - N3

• 308 000 zł – 428 000 zł
• Base-pay range and placement are determined by role, experience, and job-related skills.

Equity Grade - 4

Awarded in US Dollars.

• New-hire equity: $32,000–$48,000
• Annual refresh: $10,000
• Reward equity: $0–$150,000
