Senior Site Reliability Engineer II

The Internal Engineering Team is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support reliability initiatives and strengthen platform reliability and observability at scale. The role is suited to someone passionate about cloud, networking, observability, and partnering with product teams to develop reliability practices.

Important: The position is available only under a standard contract of employment with 80% tax-deductible costs. You may work remotely from anywhere in Poland or from the Cracow office.

What you’ll deliver

• Collaborate closely with Platform and Engineering teams on strategic reliability and observability initiatives.
• Improve, automate, and expand observability and reliability tooling, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Respond to production incidents and client threats, lead remediation, and drive follow-up improvements.
• Partner with product engineers working in Java, Node.js, and Python to design, instrument, and operate services for failure; jointly own SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Create reusable building blocks, including dashboards, alerts, libraries, and IaC modules, for company-wide rollout.
• Mentor engineering team members and advocate for modern SRE and observability practices.
• Document standards, best practices, and policies for monitoring, alerting, incident response, and reliability.
• Conduct platform capacity planning and performance testing.

Qualifications

• Most Senior Engineers have 7+ years of professional experience, though this is not strictly required.
• Working knowledge of SRE and observability industry standards and best practices, including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and on-call.
• Engineering experience in the JVM stack.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud provider, Kubernetes, and IaC tools and practices, including operating and troubleshooting distributed applications.
• Proven experience delivering solutions for reliability, monitoring, and container management.
• Deep Linux knowledge, focused on system hardening and performance troubleshooting.
• Very good scripting skills in Bash, Golang, or Python.
• Database management and troubleshooting experience across SQL and NoSQL systems is a plus.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing is a plus.
• Ability to partner with teams to design resilient data access and use database observability to prevent and resolve incidents.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to coach and influence engineers.
