Senior Site Reliability Engineer II

The Internal Engineering Team is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen platform reliability and observability at scale. The position is available under a standard contract of employment with 80% tax-deductible cost. You may work remotely from anywhere in Poland or from the Cracow office.

What you’ll deliver

• Cooperate closely with Platform and Engineering teams on strategic reliability and observability initiatives.
• Improve, automate, and grow observability and reliability tooling, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
• Respond to production incidents and client threats, lead remediation, and drive follow-up improvements.
• Partner with product engineers working in Java, Node.js, and Python to design, instrument, and operate services for failure; jointly own SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Create reusable building blocks, including dashboards, alerts, libraries, and IaC modules, for company-wide rollout.
• Mentor engineering team members and advocate for modern SRE and observability practices.
• Document standards, best practices, and policies for monitoring, alerting, incident response, and reliability.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance testing of the platform.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of SRE and observability standards and best practices, including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and on-call.
• Engineering experience in the JVM stack.
• Experience with AWS or another cloud provider, Kubernetes, and IaC tools and practices, including operating and troubleshooting distributed applications.
• Proven experience delivering reliability, monitoring, and container-management solutions.
• Deep Linux knowledge, especially system hardening and troubleshooting performance issues.
• Very good scripting skills in Bash, Golang, or Python.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to coach and influence other engineers.

Preferred qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience is typical for Senior Engineers.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing.
• Ability to partner with teams on resilient data access and use database observability to prevent and resolve incidents.
