Data Engineer – Databricks | E-commerce / RetailWe are looking for a Data Engineer with strong Databricks experience to join a data & AI project for a large-scale e-commerce / retail business, focused on building a modern, scalable data platform supporting analytics, ML and AI use cases.What you’ll doDesign, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Spark.Integrate data from multiple business sources and build reliable, reusable data flows.Develop and optimize data processing solutions for large volumes of retail and e-commerce data.Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts and business stakeholders to deliver data products supporting ML, BI and analytics.Contribute to the development of a unified data platform and high-quality data layer.Ensure data pipelines are reliable, scalable, performant and easy to maintain.Optimize data processing and infrastructure with a focus on both performance and cost.Help establish and maintain data quality, monitoring and engineering best practices.Your experienceHands-on experience with Databricks is required.Previous experience in e-commerce or retail is a must.Strong experience in Data Engineering and building production-grade data pipelines.Strong SQL and PySpark / Spark skills.Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing.Good understanding of modern data platform / lakehouse architecture.Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or GCP.Experience with Delta Lake and data orchestration tools will be a strong advantage.Ability to work closely with Data Scientists and understand their data requirements.Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to data engineering.Relevant domain experienceYou should have hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:Customer 360 & Personalization – integrating customer, e-commerce, CRM, loyalty or marketing data.Demand Forecasting & Inventory – building data pipelines supporting sales forecasting, inventory or replenishment use cases.Unified Data Platform / Analytics – integrating data from ERP, e-commerce, marketplaces, marketing, POS or other business systems into a unified data layer.Tech stackDatabricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, CloudWhy join?You’ll be part of a large-scale e-commerce / retail data transformation, building the data foundations that power analytics, machine learning and AI while working with modern Databricks-based architecture.
