Senior Data/Analytics Engineer

About the Role

A critical role connecting business needs and technical data infrastructure. Responsible for transforming complex business requirements into robust, scalable data structures ready for analysis within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem. This position emphasizes semantic modeling, ensuring data is prepared for autonomous business consumption and valuable for decision-making, while also adapting it for advanced uses such as AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Semantic views, named metrics, verified queries
• Graph schema and entity resolution against the alias map
• SQL correctness and numbers-from-code discipline
• Row access policy design, jointly with the DevOps seat

Must-haves

• Dimensional modeling: star schema, conformed and slowly changing dimensions
• Snowflake semantic views, named metrics, row access policies, masking policies
• Cortex Analyst semantic models and the Verified Query Repository
• Graph data modelling, node and edge design, ontology or taxonomy work
• Entity resolution and alias mapping at enterprise scale
• dbt Core, SQL, SQLFluff or equivalent linting
• Python for transformation work
• GCP BigQuery exposure is an advantage
