Technical Data Governance Specialist (On-site)

Your role

We are looking for a Data Governance Specialist / Data Steward to support enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. You do not need to have held the formal title of Data Steward, but you should have relevant experience in data governance, data management, metadata management, MDM or data quality.

Your tasks

• Maintain and improve data governance processes and standards.
• Support business teams in defining critical data assets.
• Manage business glossaries, metadata and data ownership structures.
• Ensure consistent use of business definitions across domains.
• Work closely with Data Governance, Data Quality and business teams.
• Support data stewardship frameworks and governance adoption.
• Monitor compliance with data standards and policies.

Your profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in a Data Steward position, Data Governance, Business Analysis or Data Management.
• Understanding of data stewardship and governance principles.
• Experience working with business stakeholders and data owners.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience maintaining business glossaries and metadata repositories.
• Fluent English.
• Must be based in, and available to work on-site full-time from, Gdańsk or Wrocław.
• Knowledge of Python and SQL.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM).
• Experience within enterprise transformation programs.
