Data Engineer with Microsoft Fabric (f/m/x)

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with Microsoft Fabric to join the Data & Analytics Competence Center, a specialized unit focused on data engineering, data processing, analytics, and cloud technologies.

Role Overview

This role is dedicated to implementation projects based on Microsoft Fabric. You will design and build modern data platforms, integrate enterprise data sources, and enable advanced analytics and reporting.

Tasks

• Develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on an enterprise-level platform designed to ensure consistent data availability for reporting, application, and analytical use cases.
• Work primarily with structured data, including financial, manufacturing, procurement, sales and marketing, pricing, and other domains.
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure data solutions on Azure, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT processes, and other data processing tools.
• Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas to support business needs.
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance are maintained across the Azure architecture.
• Provide ongoing support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data solutions aligned with business goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Azure technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Azure data engineering and data platforms.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and serverless computing in Azure.
• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Polish required.
• Residence in Poland required.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Experience extracting data from various ERP systems, such as Oracle Fusion, and API-related development.
• Azure certifications.
