Application Support Engineer (supporting US and Asia-Pacific markets)

You will be part of a team supporting clients across different time zones, including the US and Asia-Pacific. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, working directly with international clients, and developing a career in a highly specialised technology environment.

Working hours – supporting US and Asia-Pacific markets

During the onboarding and training period, you will initially work primarily during US business hours, working closely with the US-based team and clients while learning the systems and processes. Once fully trained and able to work independently, you will move to a rotational shift schedule covering US and Asia-Pacific clients:

  • Second/US shift: 16:00–00:30 – supporting US business hours
  • Third/AP shift: 00:00–08:30 – supporting Asia-Pacific hours

You should be comfortable working both afternoon/evening and night shifts as part of a planned rotation. These are regular full working shifts, not on-call or standby shifts. You will provide full technical support throughout your scheduled working hours.

Each 8.5-hour shift includes a 30-minute paid lunch break, meaning 8 hours of actual working time. There is a short overlap between shifts to allow the team to hand over ongoing issues and important information.

Please note: the shift schedule and rotation model are currently planned and may be adjusted before final implementation.

Why is this role different?

This is more than a traditional Application Support position. You will not simply receive tickets, resolve them, and move on; you will be an important part of a small, highly specialised international team.

Your responsibilities will combine:

  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Direct client communication
  • Application support
  • Client onboarding
  • Project coordination
  • Production issue investigation
  • Process and efficiency improvements

Because the team is relatively small, your work will be highly visible and your contribution will have a real impact on clients.

What will you do?

  • Investigate and resolve application and production issues
  • Provide technical support to international clients
  • Analyse problems and identify their root causes
  • Troubleshoot Windows- and Linux-based applications and environments
  • Work with application and system logs
  • Use scripting for troubleshooting, automation, and operational tasks
  • Write and analyse SQL queries
  • Support client onboarding and technical implementations
  • Participate in technical projects
  • Communicate directly with English-speaking clients
  • Cooperate with colleagues across different time zones
  • Identify opportunities to improve support processes and team efficiency
  • Bring your own ideas and solutions

What are we looking for?

You do not have to tick every box; what matters most is a technical mindset, curiosity, and willingness to solve problems.

  • Experience in Technical Support, Application Support, or a similar technical role
  • Solid experience with MS Windows environments
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Practical SQL experience or willingness to develop it
  • Fluent English and confidence communicating directly with international clients
  • Enjoyment of troubleshooting and finding root causes
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage several tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Comfort working afternoon/evening and night shifts
  • Interest in technology and curiosity about financial technology and electronic trading

Nice to have

  • Linux experience
  • SQL experience
  • Experience with AI tools and automation
  • Familiarity with financial, banking, or trading environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field

What do we offer?

  • Direct B2B contract with a US-based company
  • Competitive base compensation
  • Additional shift premiums
  • Transportation support for evening/night shifts
  • Hybrid work model after the onboarding and training period, typically 6–12 months
  • Comfortable office close to Wrocław city centre
  • 20 paid vacation days per year
  • 25 paid vacation days from the sixth year of cooperation
  • Up to 10 paid sick days per year
  • Subsidized private medical care
  • International working environment
  • Opportunity to work with US-based colleagues and international clients
  • Opportunity to travel to the USA for training
  • Company events and team-building activities
  • 24/7 access to the office
  • Free coffee, tea, and cookies

Who will enjoy this role?

  • You enjoy solving technical problems rather than simply following scripts
  • You want direct contact with international clients
  • You are curious about how financial and trading systems work
  • You want to work with both US and Asia-Pacific markets
  • You do not mind working non-standard hours and appreciate the flexibility of shift work
  • You want a role where your ideas and contribution are genuinely visible
  • You are looking for a long-term opportunity with continuous learning and professional growth
