Senior Python Developer

In this role, you’ll own the technical direction of the system and help evolve its architecture in collaboration with the CTO.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction of the system, define and evolve the architecture, and make decisions on how it is built in collaboration with the CTO.
  • Design and build complex data and processing pipelines and workflows, particularly around 3D/visualization data.
  • Provide technical direction to a small cross-functional team.
  • Drive an AI-assisted development workflow, including multi-agent orchestration with specialized agents.
  • Proactively surface and drive system improvements rather than waiting for assigned tasks.
  • Produce clean, well-tested code; review, debug, and document.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • At least 5+ years of Python experience, with a track record of operating independently and leading technically.
  • Proven experience designing systems and building non-trivial pipelines and workflows end to end.
  • Fluency in AI-assisted development, including daily use of these tools and the ability to spearhead their adoption across the team.
  • Comfort reading, reviewing, optimizing, and refactoring large codebases according to sound engineering practices.
  • Solid knowledge of Postgres, Git, and RESTful/RPC services.
  • Familiarity with Django (4.2+) is a plus.
  • Strong written and spoken English, a collaborative mindset, and high ownership.

Nice to Have

  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • DevOps experience with containers, CI/CD, automated deployments, and monitoring/alerting for database and web-server performance.
  • Foundational linear algebra, matrix operations and transformations, plus working comfort with statistics and probability.
  • Experience with Python numerical/3D libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Open3D, and PyTorch.
