Senior Frontend Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join the Product Department, building apps for the Atlassian Marketplace and monday.com Marketplace. The team develops tools used by teams of all sizes to manage Jira workflows, with a strong focus on customer feedback and rapidly delivering valuable features.

You’ll join one of two Scrum teams, each consisting of 3–4 developers, a tester, product owner, and UI/UX specialist. You’ll act as a frontend go-to person, contributing expertise across teams when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and build user-facing features, with a strong emphasis on sound underlying architecture.
• Pair with team members to deliver end-to-end features.
• Engage with design and product early to shape and influence business decisions before implementation.
• Review other engineers’ code and help develop the team.
• Advocate for scalable, long-lasting technical decisions.
• Set and enforce frontend code-quality standards across the team.
• Work across the team’s product portfolio and support other squads with frontend expertise.
• Help the service desk investigate complex customer-reported issues.

Must-have

• At least 5 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Proven experience designing and implementing frontend architecture for web applications.
• Strong frontend application testing skills.
• Ability to identify and prioritize technical debt and design refactoring plans.
• Comfort working asynchronously with a distributed team.
• Willingness to mentor and support others’ growth.
• Strong knowledge of application security practices, including OWASP Top 10, and ability to define, implement, and monitor a security strategy with DevOps and QA.
• Ability to estimate complex projects end-to-end, coordinate team estimation, and account for uncertainty and risk in requirements.
• Polish proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem or experience building on Atlassian Forge, Connect, or another third-party app platform such as Shopify or Salesforce.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.
• Strong UI attention to detail and ability to challenge designs and offer alternatives.
• Exposure to AI and agentic workflows.
