Senior Data Analyst (with AI) (#5646)

Senior • Remote

24,203 - 29,788 PLN/yr

Krakow, MA, Poland

About This Role

We are looking for a Senior, dbt-specialised Analytics Engineer to build and maintain the business-critical data models behind credit, payments, and fraud/AML reporting.

The role supports a European business-spend-management fintech offering corporate cards and related financial products to SME and mid-sized business customers across the EU and UK. The work is performed in a regulated environment with GDPR compliance obligations.

Engineering is organised into cross-functional squads, supported by platform and enabling teams that provide shared tooling. The engineering practice uses Claude Code and GitHub Copilot daily, alongside shared, versioned Skills in key repositories to support a flow from ticket to implementation, testing, and pull request. AI tools and connector rollouts follow an approved-list and pilot process.

The organisation is AWS-first overall and uses GCP for data-platform and analytics workloads, with BigQuery as the primary data warehouse. Day-to-day coordination uses Slack, Linear for ticket tracking, GitHub for code and pull-request review, and Notion as the knowledge base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain business-critical dbt data models.
  • Model data powering credit, payments, and fraud/AML reporting.
  • Work from aggregated and modelled data rather than raw access to real customer or transaction data.
  • Apply strong SQL and data-modelling skills.
  • Increase the output and quality of the squad, and share patterns and practices beyond the immediate team to support wider adoption.
  • Embed directly into a client squad as a hands-on individual contributor, not in a coaching or managerial role.

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience with dbt.
  • Strong SQL and data-modelling skills.
  • Experience building and maintaining business-critical data models for credit, payments, and fraud/AML reporting.
  • BigQuery experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Git experience.

Benefits

  • Flexible working format: remote, office-based, or flexible.
  • Competitive salary and compensation package.
  • Personalised career growth.
  • Professional development tools, including a mentorship programme, tech talks, training, and centres of excellence.
  • Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing.
  • Education reimbursement.
  • Anniversary presents.
  • Corporate events and team building.
  • Other location-specific benefits.
