Lead C++ Developer

Senior • Remote

Łódź, LD, Poland

We are seeking a talented Lead C++ Developer to join a highly interdisciplinary CoreML team, driving the performance and optimization of both training and serving. The role provides exposure to the newest Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) hardware, the latest ML models, and advanced toolchains that bridge them. Your work will enable AI research, production deployments, and the broader open-source ecosystem by addressing technical issues affecting the efficiency and scalability of AI.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize high-performance kernels using languages such as Pallas, Mosaic, and Triton, targeting TPU and GPU architectures for critical machine learning operations—from massive training runs to high-speed inference.
  • Architect infrastructure including benchmarking suites, autotuning frameworks, performance-analysis tools, regression testing, and documentation for custom kernels in key open-source software libraries.
  • Track advancements in hardware architectures, compiler technologies, and AI models to identify performance-optimization opportunities through custom kernels.
  • Collaborate with ML researchers, framework developers (JAX, PyTorch), and compiler engineers (XLA) to improve adoption, identify requirements, and resolve bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of industry experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience in C++ or Python.
  • 3+ years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1+ year of experience in software design and architecture.
  • LLM experience.
  • Expertise in kernel-level performance optimization.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

  • Experience optimizing TPU/GPU code using low-level kernel languages such as Pallas, CUDA, or Triton.
  • Knowledge of ML frameworks such as JAX and PyTorch; common operations including attention and Mixture of Experts (MoEs); model optimization; and low-precision formats.
  • Understanding of modern accelerators, including data movement, pipelining, heterogeneous compute, and scale-out.
  • Understanding of compiler principles, including optimization and code generation, and toolchains such as MLIR and OpenXLA.
  • Experience building developer infrastructure, including open-source software libraries, flexible high-performance APIs, and accessible documentation.

We offer

  • Hybrid-by-design work mode and an opportunity to work remotely within Poland.
  • Opportunity to work abroad for up to 60 days annually.
  • Business-driven relocation opportunities.
  • Career development programs, thought leadership, mentoring, soft-skills, and well-being programs.
  • Certification opportunities in Anthropic, Gemini, GCP, Azure, and AWS.
  • English classes.
  • Stable pay.
  • Participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a 15% discount.
  • Benefits package including health insurance, multisport, and shopping vouchers.
  • Referral bonuses up to $2,000.
  • Offices with entertainment and relaxation zones, table tennis, football, free snacks, coffee, and more.
  • Corporate, social, and well-being events.

Benefits listed above are available to employees only. Contractor engagement is also available; terms of B2B cooperation agreements are agreed individually. Only selected candidates will be contacted.
