As a Senior Mobile Test Lead – Automation & QA Strategy, you will be working for a client delivering high-quality mobile solutions across iOS and Android platforms. You will own and drive comprehensive testing efforts for sophisticated projects, shaping the overall testing strategy and ensuring excellence in quality across cross-functional teams. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to influence testing frameworks, automate complex scenarios, and support continuous delivery at scale.

Your main responsibilities

  • Own and deliver end-to-end testing for complex projects, including system, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Define and drive the overall test strategy and quality approach, creating and maintaining test plans.
  • Plan, estimate, and track testing efforts, ensuring alignment with engineering realities.
  • Lead, coach, and delegate tasks to QA engineers across multiple locations while maintaining delivery momentum.
  • Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation suites for iOS/Android using BDD (Cucumber), Java, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing where automation may not be suitable (usability, edge cases, device-specific behaviors).
  • Drive defect management processes with Jira; produce clear test reports and metrics.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and quality status effectively to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes, tooling, and automation frameworks.
  • Support cross-system validation, including downstream integrations and cross-system testing (desirable).

You're ideal for this role if you have

  • At least 6 years of experience in QA/testing with proven leadership as a Test Lead.
  • Hands-on expertise in mobile automation: Cucumber (BDD), Java, Selenium, Appium.
  • Broad testing experience encompassing unit, functional, non-functional, regression, exploratory, UAT, and compatibility testing.
  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools: Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, Confluence.
  • Experience with REST APIs, SQL/DB, and cloud platforms such as GCP.
  • Strong stakeholder management and risk communication skills.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal.

It is a strong plus if you have

  • Knowledge of downstream systems, cross-system testing, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Lighthouse.
  • Understanding of security testing and microservices architecture.
