Job Summary
The Tax Team collaborates with wealth management teams to provide tax compliance services to high-net-worth clients. The Tax Associate is primarily responsible for the preparation of income tax returns, tax projections, and analysis for clients. The role requires strong client service skills, communication abilities, and the flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced tax preparation environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and businesses
- Create quarterly estimates and projections
- Respond to tax questions, estimates, projections, and analysis with tax and wealth management clients
- Coordinate with tax support staff to ensure timely workflow practices and data integrity
- Respond to tax notices and prepare correspondence
- Stay up to date on tax law changes
- Perform additional assigned duties
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Working knowledge of tax preparation with preferably 1-3+ years of public accounting experience
- CPA or EA obtained or planned, preferred
- Experience with CCH, including Axcess, Workflow and Practice, and SafeSend, preferred
- Highly organized and tax-oriented
- Ability to handle a large volume of activities simultaneously
- Ability to communicate concepts clearly to clients and advisors
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
Work Schedule
This role requires availability Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM, with Saturdays as needed during tax season. Additional hours may be required to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions
This position may be based in a professional office environment or dedicated home office workspace. Basic technology needs will be provided. The role involves routine sitting and standing with no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.
Base Pay Range
$76,500—$90,000 USD
