The Director of Product Management is responsible for owning product strategy, execution, and organizational leadership across a portfolio of product categories. This role defines what products exist and how portfolios evolve over time.

This role leads and develops a team of Product Managers, setting standards for product definition and execution. The Director serves as the Product Development counterpart to Brand Directors, partnering closely with Brand leadership, Engineering, Design, Legal, Supply Chain, and Commercial leaders to ensure products are user centered and commercially successful.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Own the 1-to-3-year product strategy and roadmap across multiple product categories
  • Define category-level product strategy in partnership with Brand and Executive leadership
  • Build, lead, and develop a team of Product Managers
  • Set clear expectations, processes, and standards for product definition and lifecycle management
  • Lead category and portfolio level product planning, prioritization, and investment decisions
  • Partner with Brand leadership to align multi-generational brand plans with category level product strategy
  • Leverage consumer insights, market research, and competitive analysis to develop product definitions
  • Monitor trends, white space, and competitive dynamics
  • Lead semiannual portfolio and roadmap reviews with senior leadership
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations leadership to ensure products meet cost, quality, schedule, and regulatory goals
  • Incorporate market performance and financial results into future portfolio strategy
  • Present category strategy and portfolio performance to Executive Leadership

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 10 years of physical product management experience
  • Experience in consumer goods or durable products
  • Experience leading and developing product management teams
  • Ability to define and manage multi-category product strategies and roadmaps
  • Strong understanding of product development processes from concept through production
  • Experience collaborating with Brand, Engineering, Design, Supply Chain, and Commercial leadership
  • Ability to synthesize user research, market data, and financial inputs into strategic direction
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Experience with global manufacturing partners is a plus

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of third-party digital solutions, including subscription-based offerings, while serving as the primary business owner for supplier relationships, onboarding processes, commercialization activities, and operational governance. The Product Manager will work closely with internal product managers, engineering, sourcing, marketing, commercial operations, and external partners to expand GE HealthCare's digital ecosystem and deliver integrated customer solutions that enhance clinical workflows and drive recurring revenue growth. Job Description Key Responsibilities Portfolio Strategy & Management Own and manage the MR and Women's Health third-party post-processing, advanced visualization, and digital application portfolio. Drive lifecycle management for third-party applications, including new product introductions, upgrades, renewals, and end-of-life planning. Support development and execution of product roadmaps in collaboration with modality product managers and digital product leaders. Evaluate emerging market opportunities and third-party capabilities to identify portfolio expansion opportunities. Assess partner technologies and solutions to ensure alignment with customer needs, business strategy, and product roadmaps. Third-Party Partner Management Serve as the primary business interface for third-party post-processing and visualization suppliers.
