The Field Engineer applies basic concepts and techniques to plan projects, develop installation drawings, and contribute to project milestones. The role works closely with trades, Cost Managers, and Project Management to determine efficient and cost-effective solutions. Responsibilities include survey, drafting, installation drawings, manufacturing, installation, final acceptance, subcontractor coordination, and engineering support while integrating multidisciplinary engineering design.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Industrial, or related engineering disciplines (or equivalent experience)
  • 10-hour and/or 30-hour OSHA certificates preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Crews on project deliverables
  • Process and manage material deliveries and ensure materials are inspected for quantity and quality according to contract documents
  • Assist with management of subcontractor and material contracts
  • Assist in developing and updating the project schedule
  • Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals
  • Maintain records of submittals, approvals, resubmittals, letters of transmittal, and transaction dates
  • Participate in cost control system operations and construction cost analysis
