Industrial Wastewater Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Industrial Wastewater Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering industrial wastewater and water treatment solutions for a diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Support or lead design of industrial wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment projects
- Manage design-build and construction services
- Manage equipment selection and procurement
- Manage construction phase engineering services
- Participate in design and construction meetings with clients, subcontractors, and regulators
- Lead technical teams across multiple offices to:
- Develop treatment options and cost estimates
- Prepare plans and specifications, including PFDs, P&IDs, and layouts
- Write work plans, design reports, SOPs, O&M manuals, and other documentation
- Provide inspection and troubleshooting support for existing industrial wastewater systems
- Design and implement bench-scale and pilot-scale treatability studies, including data management, evaluation, mass balance/loading details, and treatment technology selection
- Participate in meetings with subcontractors, clients, and regulators
- Support marketing, sales efforts, and proposal development
Minimum Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Master's degree in a related discipline preferred
- 8-15 years of industrial wastewater design experience
- Several years as a professional-in-responsible-charge
- Professional Engineer registration/license in FL, TX, TN, or other states
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and AutoCAD or graphics software
- Experience with instrumentation and controls/automation preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Ability to interact effectively with clients, regulators, project managers, and employees
- Up to 30% travel required
- Valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
