Premier Truck Rental (PTR) provides customized commercial fleet rentals nationwide, helping businesses get the right trucks and equipment to get the job done.

The Porter (Yard Driver) is responsible for safely transporting light/medium duty trucks around the yard, operating light/medium heavy-duty equipment, and supporting vehicle movement to buildings and outside service centers.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate of $20.70 + overtime + benefits starting day one

Hours of Operation

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport light/medium duty trucks around the yard and into the building as well as to outside service centers
  • Operate light/medium heavy-duty equipment around the yard
  • Operate and/or move heavy equipment including trailers in tight spaces (up to 3-Ton/Medium Duty)
  • Perform regular inspection and maintenance of assigned equipment and report issues to management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot and remove hazards
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure vehicles are ready and properly located
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Work outdoors in inclement weather year-round
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles
  • Perform additional duties assigned by management
  • Implement and uphold 5S principles to improve efficiency and organization
