We're hiring a software engineer to join the team responsible for bringing Tines to federal customers in AWS GovCloud. You'll build and improve the product features and tooling that make Tines work seamlessly in a compliance-regulated environment while meeting the security and operational requirements unique to the government.
Location
You can work fully remotely from anywhere in the US with a preference for being based in the Greater Boston Area. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must perform work while located within the United States.
What you will be doing
- Design, build, and harden product features within a compliance-regulated cloud environment with a strong focus on security controls, data privacy, and auditability.
- Build features specific to AWS GovCloud users including authentication methods, audit and compliance capabilities, and operational tooling.
- Build abstractions that reduce friction for engineers working in a government cloud environment.
- Enable software engineers to build product features that work seamlessly across commercial and government cloud environments.
- Analyze applications for security gaps and implement changes to meet government standards.
- Work cross-functionally across product teams to align timelines and develop compliant engineering solutions.
- Mentor other engineers on secure design patterns and regulated environment practices.
- Support self-hosted federal customers in CMMC environments and participate in on-call responsibilities.

Requirements
- Roughly 7+ years as a professional software engineer.
- Proven success in a senior software engineering role.
- Experience building software using a high-level programming language.
- Comfortable with application-layer security concepts including encryption, access control, audit logging, and data retention.
- Experience working in compliance-regulated or security-sensitive environments is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work across the stack and contribute broadly.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work with technologies such as Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, AWS CDK, and Kubernetes.
