Junior Java Developer

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to join our team that develops systems critical to operating Data Centers, including building new Data Centers, designing racks, planning hardware demand, logistics, and maintenance. A successful candidate will develop new features and refine existing code to make it more readable and efficient.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Gdansk.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on learning the project domain and technologies while contributing to the development and maintenance of the application
  • Develop new features and refine existing code to improve readability and efficiency
  • Communicate directly with the client on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with a group of world-class engineers and architects to build a scalable and high-performance platform
  • Contribute to a platform leveraged by external customers to build a new generation of applications and solutions
  • Deliver tasks on time with quality as a self-starter
  • Participate as a member of a modern, self-governing engineering team that values transparency and autonomy

Requirements

  • 1+ years of hands-on Java experience
  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating software through the full system implementation life-cycle (analysis, design, implementation, build, test, support)
  • Familiarity with JUnit and Mockito
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Competency in self-management and prioritization
  • Strong English language skills (B1+ level) and experience in client-facing communications

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Skills in TypeScript
  • Understanding of Google Guice
  • Knowledge of Protocol Buffers and gRPC
