What you will be responsible for

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our integrated architecture and engineering team. Responsibilities include designing foundations, preparing permit and construction documents, and addressing manufacturing and field RFIs for each home. You may manage up to 10 concurrent projects and contribute to scaling efficient engineering processes, including the expansion of the home product line with light-frame wood modules and architectural steel elements.

This is a hybrid role with work possible from the Sacramento manufacturing facility, the Mountain View office, or from home. Frequent visits to Bay Area project sites and occasional visits to the Sacramento facility are required.

  • Design and document project-specific structural elements, including foundations.
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to deliver fully coordinated, constructable designs.
  • Perform site observations, review submittals, and respond to manufacturing and construction RFIs.
  • Create structural engineering tools, systems, and processes to accelerate design and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Field, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Design teams.
