Opportunity Overview

Emergency Medicine opportunity at a Level III Trauma Center with 35,000 visits per year. Full-service hospital with a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, CT/MRI in the department, bedside ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room. 42 hours of physician coverage per day.

Tertiary center with 300+ physicians and specialist support including Trauma Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, GI, ENT, Pediatric Hospitalists, OBGYN, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Infectious Disease, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Anesthesia, and Radiology. Less than 1% of patients transferred out. Practice at one site. Teaching opportunities with residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students.

  • $471,265/year ($251/hour) – Day Shift
  • $490,116/year ($261.81/hour) – Night Shift
  • Extra shift bonus pay: $276.92/hour (day); $301.09/hour (night)

Qualifications

  • BC/BE (board certification required within 3 years of eligibility)
  • Completion of ER Residency Program or ER Fellowship
  • Graduate of medical or osteopathic medical school
  • Licensed or eligible for Iowa physician license
  • Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate
  • Federal DEA Certificate
  • Successful completion of references, background check, physical, and drug screen
