The Opportunity

Your car and your home are your most important assets, yet the experience of owning them is fragmented, complicated, and expensive. The company is building an app to manage insurance, repairs, financing, maintenance, and more in one place. After scaling its car insurance marketplace, the next chapter is expanding into home, motorcycle, and other physical assets through new partnerships with insurance carriers, product providers, and distribution partners.

This expansion relies on landing large, complex partners that require creative deal structuring and strong judgment. You will own the end-to-end partnerships motion for new product lines, including building the pipeline, structuring deals, and ensuring successful partner onboarding and growth.

Why You Will (Or Won't) Like Working Here

  • No playbook: For newer verticals such as home and motorcycle, the partnership model is still being defined. You will scope what to build rather than execute a proven formula.
  • Complex deals & long cycles: You will work on complex deal structures that can take months to close, and many may not close at all.
  • Heavily cross-functional: You will collaborate with product, engineering, data science, legal, finance, and executive leadership on every deal.

What You'll Own

  • Build and run the partnerships pipeline for new product lines, from initial outreach through signed agreement and successful onboarding.
  • Lead insurance carrier and partner conversations independently, qualifying fit, understanding partner needs, structuring value propositions, and driving the process to close.
  • Design creative deal structures for partners who do not fit a standard path.
  • Own partner success post-close, ensuring partners ramp effectively and become long-term relationships.
  • Contribute to vertical strategy by informing sequencing and structure of new product bets based on partner feedback.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategy consulting with a track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Experience building 0-to-1 initiatives such as launching a new partnership category or entering a new market.
  • Background combining at least two of: consulting or structured problem-solving, BD or sales execution, early-stage startup operating experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior external stakeholders and navigate large partner organizations independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex deal structures clearly to executive audiences.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid time off and paid parental leave.
  • 401(K) plan with employer matching.
  • Wellness benefits.
  • Base salary with potential equity grants as part of total compensation.
