About The Role

APCON, Inc. is seeking a Firmware Engineer to contribute to next-generation embedded systems. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, testing, and implementation of firmware solutions for a variety of products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products and support ongoing project success.

This role is fully on site. Candidates selected to move forward will complete a standard prescreening process, including a background check and drug screen.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with low-level programming in C, C++, or Rust, including debugging, verification, and validation of firmware, software, and hardware for current and future network switch solutions
  • Support analysis of hardware and firmware requirements to assess design feasibility within project timelines and budget
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand system-level performance and operational needs
  • Participate in technical discussions related to product requirements and design processes
  • Create and execute basic unit and functional tests to ensure product quality
  • Contribute to updates and improvements on existing product lines under guidance
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet project milestones and delivery goals
