Description

For the pharmaceutical company we are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to drive the establishment of best QA automation practices. As a QA Automation Lead, you will take ownership of quality strategy and execution across one or more teams, acting as a QA Lead. You’ll guide and mentor other QA engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and ensure that products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and user trust.

The most essential skill is strong experience coding in JavaScript/TypeScript in the context of complex testing processes (additional experience as a Software Engineer with JS/TS is a plus). Daily work includes using Playwright and Cypress, and supporting test automation with Python, Java, and other tools that enhance quality testing.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Define and drive test automation strategy, standards, and best practices across products
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for web-based applications
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous delivery practices
Analyze test results, identify quality risks and root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions
Mentor QA Engineers and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within Agile teams

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer
Additional experience as a Software Engineer is a plus
Experience as a Test Lead is highly appreciated
Broad QA Automation experience with ability to improve ways of working
Ability to define and drive comprehensive test strategies
Strong experience with JavaScript QA Automation frameworks
Strong experience working with Playwright and Cypress
Experience supporting testing with Python and Java is welcome
Experience working with Cloud solutions (preferably AWS)
Familiarity with modern AI-driven QA tools and techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
