The Mobile Developer in the Terminal Squad plays a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the mobile application that enables efficient, paperless warehouse operations across the STAR Ecosystem. This role ensures seamless integration with backend systems, delivering a reliable and intuitive user experience for warehouse staff. By developing high quality mobile solutions, the Mobile Developer contributes directly to operational excellence, process digitization, and the continuous improvement of logistics workflows.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality mobile features for the Terminal App used in warehouses
  • Optimize performance for scanning workflows, offline usage, and rugged terminal device environments
  • Ensure code is clean, maintainable, testable, and aligned with engineering standards
  • Work closely with backend, middleware, and architecture teams to integrate terminal features with STAR Ecosystem services
  • Contribute to API design, communication flows, and data structures to ensure real-time and reliable data exchange
  • Collaborate with the Terminal Squad, including Product Owner, Scrum Master, QA, UX/UI, and fellow developers
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, daily stand-up, retrospectives)
  • Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and grooming sessions
  • Build and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, UI tests)
  • Troubleshoot issues raised from test environments and live operations
  • Support QA in developing and improving test strategies for the mobile environment
  • Ensure the mobile application remains reliable for high-volume terminal operations
  • Support monitoring and alerting of mobile-related incidents
  • Investigate and resolve root causes of operational disruptions
  • Document code, architecture, and operational guidelines
  • Identify technical improvements and propose enhancements for performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Stay up to date with mobile technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices

Our requirements:

  • Proven experience in mobile application development (Android, Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile)
  • Strong programming skills in Kotlin
  • Familiarity with Jetpack Compose, Koin, Sql Delight
  • Familiarity with MVI architectural pattern
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, authentication flows, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM), offline-first architectures, or barcode scanning is a plus
  • Fluent in English
