Senior / Lead QA & DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead QA & DevOps Engineer to drive quality engineering initiatives across multiple technology streams. This role combines test automation, DevOps practices, observability, and quality strategy execution in complex engineering environments.

You will work closely with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to establish scalable testing approaches, improve software quality, and implement automation and observability solutions. The role requires a highly independent professional capable of defining priorities, influencing stakeholders, and executing quality initiatives with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test automation solutions for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Robot Framework.

  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution using GitHub Actions.

  • Define and implement QA strategies, risk-based testing approaches, and quality gates.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical business flows and testing priorities.

  • Build and maintain observability solutions, including Grafana dashboards and monitoring capabilities.

  • Implement and support contract testing frameworks (e.g. Pact, Spring Cloud Contract).

  • Support quality initiatives across distributed systems, microservices, and multi-environment platforms.

  • Work with Linux-based environments, remote systems, shared filesystems, and deployment tooling.

  • Review existing automation frameworks and continuously improve testing processes and standards.

  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and quality improvements across production and non-production environments.

  • Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to improve automation, deployment reliability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in QA Automation, Quality Engineering, SDET, or similar roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework.

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

  • Experience with API, UI, integration, and automated testing.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux environments and command-line tools.

  • Experience with observability and monitoring solutions, particularly Grafana.

  • Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architectures.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and quality engineering practices.

  • Ability to work independently and drive quality initiatives across multiple stakeholders and teams.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.

  • Experience with observability-driven quality engineering approaches.

  • Exposure to HPC (High Performance Computing) environments.
