emagine is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer for a consultancy assignment focused on improving onboarding, activation, and customer adoption experiences within a suite of communication products.
Please note that this role is based in Malmö.
Start: June or July
Duration: 6 months to start with
Location: Malmö, 2-3 days/week at the office
The assignment centers on designing intuitive customer journeys that guide users from initial setup through activation and ongoing product management. You will play a key role in simplifying complex technical workflows and creating seamless experiences across multiple communication channels and platform services.
Working as part of a cross-functional product organization, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and platform stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions that drive engagement, adoption, and business value.
Key Responsibilities
Design onboarding and activation experiences
Design and optimize end-to-end onboarding journeys across messaging and communication products.
Create experiences that help customers efficiently configure, activate, and manage services.
Simplify complex workflows
Translate technical requirements, operational processes, and platform dependencies into intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
Reduce friction and improve customer success through thoughtful interaction design.
Drive improvements through customer insights
Utilize customer research, analytics, usability testing, and feedback to identify pain points and opportunities.
Continuously iterate and enhance onboarding and activation flows based on measurable outcomes.
Create scalable user experiences
Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
Ensure consistency by leveraging and contributing to established design systems and UX standards.
Collaborate across teams
Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and platform teams to align design solutions with business and technical objectives.
Support the creation of cohesive customer experiences across interconnected products and services.
Deliver hands-on design work
Lead design initiatives from discovery and concept development through implementation and validation.
Maintain a strong focus on usability, accessibility, design quality, and continuous improvement.
Your profile
4–6+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or related disciplines.
Proven experience designing SaaS, platform, or developer-focused products.
Strong background in onboarding, activation, setup, configuration, or workflow-driven experiences.
Excellent UX, interaction design, and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience working with technically complex products and stakeholder environments.
Advanced proficiency in Figma and experience working with design systems.
Strong collaboration skills with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional teams.
Data-driven and iterative approach to product design.
Portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, customer-centered design, and visual craftsmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with compliance-related or process-heavy onboarding workflows.
Experience working within multi-product or platform environments.
Knowledge of AI-assisted design and productivity tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar solutions.

Key responsibilities Build and evolve frontend applications and control panels used to manage applications, environments, and deployments Design and implement user interfaces for platform configuration, observability, and usage insights Collaborate with backend and infra engineers to define APIs and data models for platform features Ensure frontend solutions scale with platform growth and increasing system complexity Improve developer experience by making infrastructure capabilities easy to understand and hard to misuse Contribute to platform reliability by surfacing health, status, and operational signals through UI Take part in platform design discussions, balancing usability, security, and system constraints What we are looking for Strong experience building complex frontend applications using React and TypeScript Experience working close to backend, platform, or infrastructure systems Understanding of how cloud platforms, deployments, and environments work at a conceptual level Experience designing frontend solutions for technical or developer-facing users Ability to reason about data flow, APIs, and system boundaries Product-minded approach with attention to usability, clarity, and long-term maintainability Nice to have Experience building internal tools, admin panels, or control planes Familiarity with platform concepts such as environments, deployments, observability, or feature flags Experience visualizing metrics, logs, or system state in frontend applications Exposure to cloud platforms or DevOps tooling Previous experience working in platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling teams Tech stack (examples) frontend: React, TypeScript backend: Go, Rust cloud: AWS, GCP, Cloudflare data: ClickHouse, BigQuery, Firestore, Spanner devops: Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability tooling
