Job description: 

 As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise network environments in a managed services model. You will work closely with Service Desk, infrastructure teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure stable, secure, and well-documented network services. 

  

At cloudatus, you will:  

  • Build, administer, monitor and troubleshoot IP networks in an on-premises environment and based on public cloud  

  • Perform changes in physical and logical network configurations  

  • Provide 2nd line support to system and network users  

  • Create and update technical documentation and operating procedures  

  • Proactively identify, recommend and drive network improvements, changes or upgrades to existing network infrastructure  

Required technical and professional expertise:  

  • Knowledge and experience in IP networking in at least one of the following areas: LAN Switching, Routing, SD-WAN  

  • Knowledge of network services like DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.  

  • Understanding of wired and wireless access technologies (Wi-Fi, 802.1x/EAP etc.)  

  • Hands-on experience with network products and solutions (e.g. routers and switches, wireless controllers, Access Points, network firewalls etc.)  

  • Knowledge of the network configuration of the server operating systems (Windows, Linux)  

  • Knowledge of Fortinet/Zscaler solutions is preferred but not mandatory 

 

 Nice to have 

  • Willingness and readiness to communicate directly with customers IT teams while handling and resolving support requests  

  • A customer-focused, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to understand and empathize with the customer’s perspective  

  • Experience working in an SLA-driven support or managed services environment  

  • Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, request, change, and escalation processes 

  • German language skills 

 

This role requires collaboration with customers from all around the world, therefore fluency in English is required (minimum B2 level). German language will be a huge benefit.
