Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

We are looking for an experienced leader with a passion for building impactful infrastructure and tooling. The long-term charter of the Cloud Infrastructure Tooling team is to deliver value by innovating in the infrastructure and tooling space within CIE. This team will complement existing domain infrastructure teams in Compute, Storage, Networking, and Performance. It will own and execute projects independently while collaborating closely with the relevant domain infrastructure teams. Ultimately, the goal of the Cloud Infrastructure Tooling team is to amplify the impact of every other team within CIE.

You will lead and grow a team of engineers to evolve and implement a cohesive Compute strategy that is critical for our growing business lines, partnering with multiple teams across Netflix.

What you will do:

  • Build and scale a high-performing, autonomous CIE tooling team in Poland.

  • Drive the vision and execution for CIE’s UI and productivity tooling strategy.

  • Amplify the impact of all CIE teams by delivering high-leverage infrastructure tools.

  • Build, support, and mentor a cohesive team of engineers.

  • Form strong cross-functional partnerships to align on, and drive adoption of, new capabilities.

  • Champion engineering excellence and measurable productivity improvements across the organization.

What we are looking for:

  • A product-focused leader who understands customer needs and has a passion for building platforms.

  • A technical manager with experience in the development and management of distributed systems and at-scale software services.

  • Ability to work in an outcome-focused way and reason from first principles.

  • Experience building and operating complex distributed systems at scale in the cloud. We use AWS; experience with building or consuming the networking/compute/storage stack of a public cloud is preferred.

  • Understanding of networking, storage, or compute is a plus.

  • Experience delivering solutions to complex technical or organizational challenges, including complex migration efforts, while building trust with partners.

  • Strong software development background that simplifies complexity and guides the team to deliver straightforward, powerful solutions to customers.

  • Effective communication skills (written and spoken), with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences.
