Digital Solutions is a strategic technology team within CIB, focused on industrialising safe and scalable AI solutions for our businesses and clients. As Poland Digital Solutions Group Lead, you will: lead the Digital Solutions Group on a global basis, setting the vision, priorities and ways of working for AI in the business; Act as Entity Lead for the local Digital Solutions technology team, providing people leadership, governance and oversight; Coordinate Digital Solutions deliveries across all contributing locations, ensuring a single, coherent roadmap aligned to the Digital Solutions business strategy; Partner closely with various Digital Solutions Product Owners and senior stakeholders across Front Office and Control functions to shape and deliver AI-powered solutions.

The role is accountable for driving industrialized, safe and scalable AI capabilities into the various asset class technology stack, supporting front office productivity, risk management and client delivery, while maintaining strong control and adherence to HSBC policies.

What you’ll do

  • Work within Digital Solutions as a senior technology leader with both global and local responsibilities.

  • Lead the Digital Solutions Pods, setting the vision, priorities and ways of working globally.

  • Drive consistent engineering standards, patterns and tooling across teams, promoting reuse, stability and observability.

  • Promote a 'one team' culture, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing and cross-team pairing.

  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.

  • Act as primary technology counterpart in the region to the Product Owners for AI-related initiatives for various asset classes.

  • Engage Front Office stakeholders (Trading, Sales, Structuring, Quants) and Control functions (Risk, Finance, Compliance) to ensure AI solutions are usable, explainable and compliant.

  • Oversee design and implementation of AI solutions for Digital Solutions (e.g. LLM agents, workflow automation, decision-support tools, analytics and MI), ensuring reliability, performance and scalability.

  • Shape the AI strategy and delivery for various asset classes within Digital Solutions.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

  • Strong experience in Markets technology (preferably in Global Macro - FX, Rates, Commodities or Equities), ideally in Front Office-facing roles.

  • Proven experience delivering complex, distributed systems or data platforms; exposure to AI/ML, LLMs or advanced analytics is strongly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, cloud-native patterns).

  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management and capability development. Demonstrable experience leading engineering teams across multiple locations and time zones.

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders at senior levels, balancing business demand, risk and technology constraints.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate high-level business goals into clear, actionable technology plans.

  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is 32 000 PLN – 36 000 PLN (monthly, gross).

The position is responsible for bringing DevOps/SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) mindset, practices and working together with the team of Developer Services engineers on automation of manual/repetitive processes, integration with AI tools, driving resiliency, supporting service migrations to SaaS and issue investigations with best practices proposals being deployed. What you’ll do You will work in an agile software development environment, developing quality and scalable software solutions using leading-edge technologies. You will work closely with developers, engineers and non-technology employees to help them be more productive with the use of the CI/CD tools, You may have exposure within the following tools/technologies/domains:  CI/CD pipeline, Python, Bash, GitHub, Bitbucket, Docker, Copilot, Devin AI, Model Context Protocol, Jira, Confluence, OS (Win/Linux), Global Exposure: Work in globally scoped projects with cross-functional teams and gain insights into how technology drives the financial sector worldwide, You will collaborate with Citi Developer Services engineers to automate manual and repetitive processes, integrate services with AI (by building and maintaining MCP - Model Context Protocol servers), enhance system resiliency, and coordinate service issue investigations by deploying best practices, Automate manual activities, repetitive processes, reporting, controls, etc., configure and tune them, Build and maintain the foundational MCP servers that allows AI models to securely interact with enterprise systems, Continuously improve systems resiliency, reliability, and business cost - through a design and development of software solutions and streamlined processes, Mitigate risk by analyzing the root cause of production issues, impacts to business, and required corrective actions. What we’ll need from you Software senior developer, scripting in Python/Shell/Bash/Java/Go (a combination of it to be able to build MCP servers), Experience in CI/CD, in large enterprise tech-stack infra-architecture, Hands-on experience deploying and scaling the Model Context Protocol (MCP) in complex, enterprise environments, Understanding of SRE/DevOps/CI/CD, Strong analytical, algorithmic, and problem-solving skills, Excellent teamwork, proactive attitude, strong communication skills, both written and oral, Knowledge of Grafana/Splunk will be additional value.
