Role summary:
As a Cloud Engineer Lead, you will play a key role in building and scaling a global cloud infrastructure across Azure and GCP for a modern e-commerce platform. You will design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure systems across multiple regions. The role includes automating infrastructure, improving network performance, and enabling development teams through reusable templates and tooling. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cloud solutions align with business and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and configure cloud infrastructure for data processing and web applications using cloud-agnostic tools (Azure & GCP).

  • Develop and maintain reusable IaC modules, boilerplates, and starter repositories for development teams.

  • Set up CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, and ensure reliable service performance.

  • Review infrastructure, architectures, and scripts to ensure compliance with best practices and security standards.

  • Design automation and orchestration solutions to accelerate development workflows and onboarding.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Node.js) and scripting (Bash/Python).

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC) and building reusable infrastructure modules.

  • Experience with multi-region cloud deployments and large-scale systems.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring tools, and microservices (Helm, manifests).

  • Leadership or senior-level experience in cross-functional teams.
