Test Automation Engineer (Payments) – Regular & Senior

Location: Gdańsk, Poland (hybrid – approx. 3 days/week in the office)

About the Role

We are looking for Test Automation Engineers (Regular and Senior) to join a large-scale, ongoing project in the financial sector. You will be working on end-to-end test automation for payment systems, covering complex flows across multiple interconnected applications.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to business-critical systems while working in a mature, international team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end automated tests for payment solutions

• Perform test analysis, test case design, and implementation

• Execute both automated and manual tests, analyzing results

• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and issues

• Build and improve test automation frameworks using Python and Robot Framework

• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business stakeholders

• Continuously improve test coverage, stability, and performance

Requirements (Regular & Senior)

Must-have:

• Strong knowledge of Python

• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework

• Experience working with Jenkins (CI/CD)

• Solid experience in:

  • Test analysis and design

  • Test implementation and execution

  • Root cause analysis

  • Test automation framework development

• Experience with modern development tools (e.g., Git, AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot)

• Very good communication skills in English

Additional for Senior Level:

• Proven experience designing scalable automation strategies

• Strong background in complex, distributed systems

• Ability to lead initiatives and mentor other team members

• Deep understanding of test architecture and best practices

Nice to Have:

• Experience within payments systems / financial domain

• Knowledge aligned with ISTQB Foundation Level

• Exposure to AI tools in testing
