Senior Android Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Android Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites. 

You'll join the team working on the Android application. This role involves both feature development and ongoing support, ensuring a high-performing, scalable, and user-friendly mobile experience by delivering new features, maintaining existing functionality, resolving bugs, and improving app performance and user experience. 

This role requires working hours with overlap till 8 PM CET.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in Android development.

• Strong knowledge of Kotlin.

• Knowledge of Jetpack Compose (Note: this refers specifically to Compose UI, not general Android Jetpack components).

• Solid understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and Structured Concurrency.

• Experience implementing Clean Architecture.

• Experience maintaining strict architectural layer separation (Data / Domain / Presentation).

• Be passionate about modern Android development.

• Detail-oriented and performance-driven individual.

• Be comfortable working in production environments.

• Strong architectural mindset.

• The ability to balance new feature delivery with stability and maintainability.

Nice to have

• Experience working with GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android features using modern best practices.

• Implement scalable, maintainable solutions following Clean Architecture principles.

• Ensure strict separation of layers (Data, Domain, Presentation).

• Write high-quality, testable, and efficient Kotlin code.

• Optimize app performance and responsiveness.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features.
